Merchant-style meat is a true decoration of the Russian feast, infused with the spirit of home comfort and generosity. The dish originated as a symbol of abundance and hospitality, where each ingredient highlights the juiciness and aroma of the meat. Pork neck, tender and rich in flavor, serves as the foundation of this magnificent treat. Tomatoes add a fresh tanginess, mushrooms a light forest note, while melted cheese transforms it all into a delicate, appetizing crust. Baked in the oven with mayonnaise, it achieves a harmony of textures where the softness of the meat combines with the richness of the ingredients. This is an ideal dish for a festive lunch, family dinner or friendly gatherings that emphasizes the warmth of home cooking and traditions of generous Russian feasting.
