Heat oil in a pan or baking dish. Add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and sauté until fragrant.
- Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons
- Ground cardamom: 3 teaspoons
- Carnation: 4 pieces
- Ground cinnamon: 3 teaspoons

Add finely chopped garlic, chili, ginger and fry for 2 minutes. Add the remaining spices and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the chicken and brown well.
- Garlic: 6 cloves
- Chili powder: 2 teaspoons
- Ground ginger: 2 teaspoons
- Ground coriander: 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric: 0.5 teaspoon
- Zira: 0.5 teaspoon
- Chicken drumstick: 2 pieces

Reduce the heat, add some water, cover with a lid, and simmer for 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked. Add water if necessary.
