Chickpea and meat patties are an unusual and hearty dish that combines the rich flavor of meat with the nutty undertones of chickpeas. Historically, such patties emerged as a way to diversify traditional meat dishes by adding plant ingredients for greater nutrition and originality. Chickpeas, rich in protein and fiber, give the patties a unique texture and slight crumbly quality. The flavor is enhanced with aromatic herbs, onions, and garlic, while a mix of peppers adds spiciness. These patties are perfect for serving with vegetable sides, fresh salads, or sauces based on sour cream and herbs. This versatile dish can be used as a main course for lunch or dinner or as a filling for burgers or sandwiches.
