Julien in buns is an exquisite combination of French cuisine and a convenient serving format. Its history begins in France, where julien was traditionally prepared in individual cocottes. The bun variant adds a touch of originality and convenience: the golden bun serves not only as a dish but also as a tasty complement to the delicate creamy julien. The rich flavor of chicken, juicy mushrooms, aromatic onions, and tender sour cream harmoniously combines with the gooey cheese crust. This recipe is perfect for cozy family dinners as well as festive gatherings, surprising guests with its unusual presentation. The toasted bun gives the julien a crispy texture while the melted cheese completes the flavor symphony. The serving allows for easy portioning by hand, making the dish convenient for buffets and friendly meetings.
