Homemade kvass is not just a drink but a whole story of Russian traditions that go back centuries. This refreshing, slightly sweet drink with a hint of sourness is made from rye bread, giving it a rich, bready aroma. During fermentation, dry yeast is added to enhance the flavor complexity. Raisins and goji berries add an unexpected touch with subtle fruity notes. Kvass is great as a standalone drink on a hot day or as a base for okroshka. Chilled and infused in the refrigerator, it gains an amazing depth of flavor that provides refreshment and vitality. It’s a drink that unites generations and creates an atmosphere of coziness and home warmth.
