Wash the cranberries. Mash or blend in a blender.
- Frozen Cranberries: 300 g

Squeeze the juice (if you don't mind the pulp, you can leave it in). Place in a pot and add all the ingredients listed in the recipe.
- Freshly squeezed orange juice: 250 ml
- Sugar: 200 g
- Carnation: 3 pieces
- Cinnamon sticks: 1 piece

Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to release the spices' flavor and dissolve the sugar completely. If you used star anise, it's better to remove them. Let it cool slightly before serving.
