Daiquiri on ice is an elegant cocktail embodying the balance of citrus freshness and light sweetness. Its roots trace back to the early 20th century when miners in Cuba mixed rum with lime juice to quench their thirst. Later, with the addition of maraschino liqueur and sugar syrup, it acquired a more refined taste. The drink combines bright notes of grapefruit and lime, the softness of rum, and the gentle sweetness of syrup, creating a harmonious blend. Daiquiri is served in a chilled glass adorned with a twisted ribbon of zest for added sophistication. This cocktail is perfect for a summer evening, highlighting lightness and refreshing coolness. It pairs wonderfully with seafood, fruits, or light snacks, enhancing the gastronomic experience with notes of freshness and refinement.

1
Cut the zest from half a lime into a long twisted ribbon and cut a strip half a centimeter wide from it. Squeeze 10 ml of juice from the halves of lime and grapefruit and strain it.
- Lime: 0.5 piece
- Grapefruits: 0.5 piece
2
Pour juice and other ingredients into a shaker filled with ice (you can make the syrup yourself. The ratio of sugar to water can be 1:1 or 1:2). Shake several times.
- Light rum: 50 ml
- Maraschino liqueur: 15 ml
- Sugar syrup: 15 ml
- Ice: 200 g
3
Pour the daiquiri (without ice) into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a twist of citrus peel — for this, wrap a cut strip around the cocktail straw and secure it in a spiral shape.
- Lime: 0.5 piece
