Moscow Mule is a refreshing cocktail with a deep history despite its name. It emerged in the mid-20th century in the USA when entrepreneurs sought ways to popularize vodka. A distinctive feature of this drink is its serving in a copper mug, which helps maintain coolness and highlight the spicy notes of ginger. The taste of Moscow Mule is a harmony of fiery ginger, tart lime, and smooth vodka, creating a refreshing blend. It is perfect for summer evenings when something invigorating but not too strong is desired. Due to its simplicity in preparation and expressive flavor nuances, this cocktail has become a classic among bartenders and connoisseurs of fine drinks.

1
This cocktail should be prepared using the build method, meaning in a glass or (more correctly) in a copper mug — in which it will be served. First, the mug needs to be chilled — place it in the refrigerator beforehand or put it in the freezer for a few minutes.
2
Place a thin slice of ginger root at the bottom of a chilled mug and gently crush it with a pestle to release its juice. Add ice.
- Ginger root: 1 piece
- Ice: 6 pieces

Pour vodka, squeeze the juice of one lime wedge into it, and fill everything to the brim with ginger ale. Stir with a bar spoon and garnish with a lime wedge.

- Lime: 0.5 piece
- Ginger ale: 150 ml
