Swedish Christmas glögg with cardamom is the embodiment of winter coziness and festive warmth. Its history roots in northern traditions where hot spiced drinks warmed long cold nights. This rich and aromatic glögg combines the tartness of red wine with spicy notes of cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves, along with the gentle sweetness of raisins and powdered sugar. Made with vodka, it acquires a characteristic warming effect. Glögg is served hot alongside mandarins and cinnamon or saffron buns, creating a perfect flavor combination. Nuts and berries added to the glass give it a special texture. This drink is a symbol of Swedish Christmas, bringing comfort and joy on frosty evenings.
