For the spice mix, grind bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and cloves in a mortar. A coffee grinder can be used instead of a mortar — it will be much faster.
- Bay leaf: 2 g
- Cinnamon: 5 g
- Carnation: 5 g
- Green cardamom pods: 12 g
- Carnation: 5 g

Sift the resulting mixture through a fine sieve. Store in a tightly sealed jar.

Pour water into a pot, add tea, ginger, and 2 grams of spice mix, bring to a boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
