Coffee with lime
1 serving
25 minutes
Coffee with lime is an unusual combination from the rich traditions of Arab cuisine. This drink blends the rich flavor of roasted ground coffee, the sweetness of cane sugar, and a spicy hint of cinnamon. Lime added to the finished drink gives it freshness and a light citrus tang. This aromatic coffee is made with love and patience: the method of boiling three times in a cezve allows its flavor depth to unfold. It is perfect for morning awakening or leisurely enjoyment during the day. Adding milk softens the taste and adds delicate creamy notes. Coffee with lime is a harmony of strength and refinement, spiciness and softness, tradition and experimentation that makes it special.

1
In a dried cezve, add ground coffee and lightly roast the ground beans. Add sugar (if desired) and ground cinnamon to the coffee.
- Ground coffee: 40 g
- Cane sugar: 20 g
- Ground cinnamon: pinch
2
Heat drinking water to 50 degrees and carefully pour it into the cezve along the edge. After the drink boils, remove the cezve from the heat and stir the coffee with a wooden spoon.
- Water: 95 ml
3
Put the cezve on low heat again and bring the drink to a boil, then remove it. This manipulation is done three times.
4
Brew the coffee for 3 minutes and only then pour the aromatic drink into a preheated cup. Optionally, add milk at 30 degrees Celsius. Garnish the coffee with a slice of lime.
- Whole milk: 20 ml
- Lime: 7 g
