Homemade Pita Chips
6 servings
30 minutes
Homemade pita chips are a simple and tasty alternative to traditional potato chips. This recipe comes from American cuisine, where pita is often used to make crispy snacks. Pita chips have a light, airy texture and a delicate flavor with a crunchy crust. They pair perfectly with various dips—hummus, guacamole, or cheese sauces. The ease of preparation makes them an excellent choice for home buffets or parties. Baking in the oven with olive oil and salt enhances the natural flavor of the pita, creating a crunchy snack without excess fat. They can be enhanced with spices or parmesan for a richer taste.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut each pita along with scissors to make two equal circles. Stack the pitas on top of each other and cut into 6 triangles. Place the pieces with the inner side down, lightly brush each with oil and sprinkle with salt.
