First, prepare the shrimp: peel off the shells, remove the intestines. You can leave the tails for decoration.

Heat butter in a pan, sauté chopped garlic, onion (only the white part), and chopped ginger until fragrant, then add crushed black pepper and shrimp and cook on high heat for about two minutes. After that, add chopped chili pepper to the pan, sprinkle with sugar, pour in fish sauce and water, and cook for another three minutes.

- Cane sugar: 1 teaspoon
