Spiced onions Indian-style is a vibrant dish of Indian cuisine that transforms ordinary onions into a refined snack infused with the aromas of Eastern spices. It combines the spiciness of ground chili, the warmth of turmeric, and the freshness of coriander, while lemon juice and yogurt give it a tender texture and a slight tanginess. This recipe likely has roots in traditional Indian street food where spices play a key role in enhancing the flavors of simple ingredients. Onions marinated in a spice mix are then sautéed or baked until soft and flavorful. This dish is perfect as a side to meat and vegetable dishes or can serve as an independent snack. Adding fresh mint gives it a special freshness, making it ideal for summer dinners.
