Fried peppers with garlic

Fried peppers with garlic is a classic dish of Italian cuisine, known for its simplicity and rich flavor. In Italy, it is often served as an antipasto or a side dish for meat and fish. Bright strips of sweet pepper, roasted to a slight char, acquire a tender texture and deep aroma. Garlic and olive oil add zest to the dish, while fresh parsley refreshes its taste. The sweetness of the pepper is balanced by a light saltiness and spiciness, making it an ideal addition to a festive table or cozy family dinner. The dish is served at room temperature, allowing the ingredients to fully unfold. It pairs wonderfully with crusty bread, cheese, and wine, creating an atmosphere of southern Italy in every bite.
