Snack lard with green basil is a true embodiment of Ukrainian cuisine, where simplicity meets rich flavor. This dish has roots in traditions when lard was used not only as a nutritious product but also as a means of preserving energy in harsh times. The addition of aromatic green basil and spicy garlic gives the snack an exquisite taste with a delicate herbal note. Lard passed through a meat grinder becomes airy and soft, while spices add piquancy. It is perfect for serving on black bread or with borscht, being not just a delicacy but a true hallmark of Ukrainian feasting. Wrapped in foil, it can be stored in the freezer, making it convenient for preparation and use.
