Hot Chicken Sandwiches
4 servings
20 minutes
Hot chicken sandwiches are a cozy and hearty dish that evokes the warmth and care of home cooking. This recipe is inspired by European traditions of simple yet delicious snacks. Crispy bread toasted to a golden crust, tender chicken fillet infused with spice aromas, and a melting cheese-sour cream mixture create a perfect flavor combination. Tomatoes add a light tanginess and freshness, balancing the rich taste of meat and cheese. These sandwiches can be served for breakfast, a light lunch, or as an appetizing snack for evening tea. They are great for cozy gatherings with friends or family get-togethers when you crave something warm, tasty, and easy to prepare.

1
Fry the fillet on both sides in a pan. Alternatively, you can bake it in the oven. Season with salt and pepper.
- Chicken breast: 1 piece
2
While the fillet is cooking, slice the bread to a thickness of 1 cm; you can make thicker pieces.
- Loaf: 1 piece
3
Grate the cheese and mix it with sour cream.
- Grated hard cheese: 100 g
- Sour cream: 1 tablespoon
4
Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
- Tomatoes: 2 pieces
5
Cool the chicken fillet and cut it into strips.
- Chicken breast: 1 piece
6
Spread a mixture of cheese and sour cream on the bread, place chicken on top, and put it in a pan over low heat.
- Loaf: 1 piece
- Grated hard cheese: 100 g
- Sour cream: 1 tablespoon
- Chicken breast: 1 piece
7
Next to the pan or in a separate pan, place the tomatoes and fry for 10 seconds on each side. Then immediately place the tomatoes on top of the chicken in the sandwich and then add the cheese and sour cream mixture again. Place a piece of bread on top and press down with a spatula. But don't press too hard, or all the filling will spill out. Immediately flip to the other side and cover with a lid.
- Tomatoes: 2 pieces
- Grated hard cheese: 100 g
- Sour cream: 1 tablespoon
- Loaf: 1 piece
