Quick puff pastries with jam are an elegant and simple treat of European cuisine, embodying the harmony of delicate puff pastry and fruity sweetness. The history of such pastries dates back to ancient times when puff pastry became popular for its airy texture. The crispy crust, slightly caramelized with sugar, contrasts with the soft filling of jam, creating a rich flavor combination. This treat is perfect for a cozy tea time or a festive gathering. The simplicity of preparation makes puff pastries an ideal choice for those who want to quickly create homemade baked goods with restaurant charm.

1
Thaw the dough and cut it into equal squares 2 cm high. Then cut each along the layers into two squares 1 cm high.
- Puff pastry: 400 g
2
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Start rolling out squares, cutting them to the same size with a knife (you can make another pastry from the leftover dough).
3
Then we spread jam on the square of dough, leaving about a centimeter from the edges. We cover it with another piece of dough and press the edges with a fork — this should be done carefully to prevent the jam from leaking. We make a few holes in the top of the pastry to let the steam escape.
- Jam: to taste
4
Beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl and cover the pastries with it, then sprinkle them with sugar (you can add cinnamon to the sugar).
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
5
Place the pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and send them to a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
