Fried banana with rum sauce and dark chocolate is a refined dessert with hints of Caribbean flavor and European elegance. Rum melting with caramelized sugar and butter creates a rich aroma, soaking the soft banana pieces. Dark chocolate adds depth of flavor, contrasting with the fruit's natural sweetness. The perfect finish is a scoop of vanilla ice cream that balances the dessert, adding freshness. This recipe is a celebration of taste, praising the simplicity of ingredients and the art of their combination.

1
Peel the bananas and cut them into 1 cm thick diagonal slices.
- Bananas: 2 pieces
2
Melt butter in a pan. The amount of butter should be enough for a piece of banana to be submerged almost halfway, so the quantity varies.
- Butter: 100 g
3
When the butter is melted, add 2 teaspoons of sugar to the pan, melt slightly, and carefully stir to avoid scratching the pan.
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
4
Place bananas in the sugar-butter mixture and fry for two minutes on one side. Then flip them over, add the remaining sugar and rum, and fry for a couple more minutes. The bananas should not fall apart, while the sugar and rum should dissolve, so a couple of minutes should be enough.
- Bananas: 2 pieces
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
- Golden Rum: 80 ml
5
Cover the bananas with a lid and leave for a couple of minutes. During this time, melt the chocolate in a water bath or in a suitable pot on the stove, but do not overheat it to prevent the chocolate from thickening.
- Dark chocolate: 100 g
6
Serve bananas with the sauce they were fried in, drizzled with chocolate and a scoop of ice cream to balance the sweetness.
- Dark chocolate: 100 g
- Vanilla ice cream: to taste
