Plum galette with spiced nut filling is a true embodiment of coziness and European traditions. Its roots go deep into French cuisine, where galettes served as simple yet exquisite open-faced pies. The crunchy rye dough perfectly contrasts with the juicy plum tartness, complemented by the aroma of cinnamon and a bright citrus note of orange zest. Walnuts add richness to the flavor, while apricot jam creates an appetizing glossy finish. This is the perfect dessert for a cozy family evening or festive tea time, revealing a wealth of flavors and textures in every bite.
