Waffles with yogurt are an exquisite combination of lightness and tenderness, perfectly fitting into the traditions of Belgian cuisine. The history of waffles dates back to the Middle Ages when monks prepared unleavened cakes between iron plates, decorating them with patterns. Today this recipe adds a slight tanginess thanks to yogurt, which gives the waffles a special softness and velvety texture. The taste is subtle with a hint of vanilla, and the sweetness is balanced to highlight the tenderness of the dough. They are served hot with honey, fruits or cream, making every morning special. An ideal breakfast for those who appreciate refined flavors and a pleasant crispy crust.
