Yeast pies in the oven are a classic of Russian cuisine rooted in family traditions. They are wonderfully soft with a crispy golden crust and airy filling. Their dough, made with sour cream and yeast, acquires an unmatched tenderness and lightness. The filling can be anything—sweet, fruity, or hearty meat. Baked to a golden brown, they fill the home with a warm aroma of coziness. These pies are perfect for morning tea or family lunch, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Yeast pies are not just baked goods but a whole ritual that unites generations at one table while preserving the taste of childhood and traditions.

When the dough has risen, we shape the pies. Before sending them to the oven, let the pies sit for about 10-15 minutes to increase in volume. Then, gently brush with egg yolk and place in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes (check according to your oven). Once they are nicely browned, you can take them out.
- Chicken egg: 3 pieces
