Their history is rooted in European baking traditions where ginger, honey, and spices create a unique flavor. The cookies are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a warm, slightly spicy aroma reminiscent of family coziness. They pair perfectly with hot tea or mulled wine and become true works of art when decorated with icing. This recipe offers a classic combination of honey, ginger, and cloves, creating a rich taste with subtle sweet and spicy notes. Bake them for your New Year's table or gift them to loved ones — as such cookies carry the warmth of celebration and the joy of winter magic.
