Mandarin slices in chocolate are an elegant and sophisticated dessert that combines bright citrus freshness with the rich, velvety taste of chocolate. This treat has European roots, reflecting the tradition of using fruits in chocolate coatings. The crunchy pistachio crumb adds a subtle nutty note, giving the dessert refinement. Thanks to quick cooling, the chocolate sets, creating a pleasant contrast of textures. This dessert is perfect for festive occasions and cozy evenings, complementing a cup of fragrant tea or coffee. Easy to prepare, it will impress guests with its visual appeal and harmony of flavors, turning ordinary mandarins into a true culinary masterpiece.

1
Remove all white veins and other membranes from the slices. The first tip is to place them on a plate and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes. This is to ensure the chocolate hardens faster on the slices and doesn't spread.
- Tangerines: 3 pieces
2
Clean the pistachios and blend them in a blender (or chop with a knife) into small pieces.
- Pistachios: 50 g
3
Chop the chocolate finely and melt it in a small deep bowl. Heat the bowl in a water bath or in the microwave for 15 seconds, stir, and back for another 15 seconds. After 3-5 cycles, the chocolate will be fully melted.
- Chocolate: 100 g

Take the mandarins out of the freezer, dip each segment halfway in chocolate, then place them on parchment (to freeze faster, chill the board in the freezer as well) and immediately sprinkle with pistachio crumbs.

Thanks to the cold mandarins and the board they are placed on, the chocolate will harden very quickly, so be sure to sprinkle the nuts. For complete hardening, place the slices in the fridge for another 10 minutes.
- Pistachios: 50 g
