Croissants with nuts and chocolate paste

Croissants with nuts and chocolate spread are a refined combination of airy puff pastry, aromatic nuts, and rich chocolate. This dessert originates from French baking tradition, where croissants symbolize morning joy and comfort. The crispy crust perfectly complements the soft, delicate filling of chocolate spread, while the nuts add a light textural play and extra depth of flavor. They are served warm when the chocolate inside slightly melts, creating a true gastronomic delight. Perfect for morning coffee or as an elegant dessert for special occasions. The pleasant aftertaste of cinnamon adds a subtle spicy note, making each bite even more memorable.

1
I use ready-made puff pastry (there are 2 sheets in 1 package). Roll out the layers into 2 rectangles about 30x15 cm.
- Yeast puff pastry: 2 pieces
2
Cut rectangles into triangles (from one layer of dough, you get 5-6 triangles). Make cuts at the base of each triangle measuring 2-3 cm (the diagram is in the image).
3
Place the filling at the start of the cut at the base and sprinkle with nuts.
- Chocolate paste: 250 g
- Crushed walnuts: 2 tablespoons
- Crushed roasted peanuts: 2 tablespoons
4
Wrap the croissant from the lower corners to the top (the cut at the bottom is necessary to secure the filling inside the croissant).
5
Place the croissants on parchment, sprinkle with cinnamon, and send to a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- Ground cinnamon: to taste
