Cherry syrup pie is a true embodiment of Russian home baking, combining the tenderness of the dough with the bright taste of cherries. Its recipe recalls traditional culinary motifs where simple ingredients turn into a masterpiece. Chopped pecans give the pie a special texture, adding a subtle creaminess and nutty aroma. Soaked in cherry syrup, it acquires a rich berry flavor that perfectly complements the softness of the dough. This pie is not only wonderful for cozy family tea times but also suitable for special occasions when you want to delight guests with something elegant yet heartfelt. The simplicity of preparation makes it accessible even for novice cooks, while decoration with fresh cherries and powdered sugar gives it a festive look.

In a bowl, we add eggs, odorless sunflower oil, thick unsweetened yogurt, and sugar. We add 25 g of flour to prevent the mixture from separating.

- Natural yoghurt: 150 ml
- Sugar: 150 g
- Wheat flour: 225 g

Whisk until homogeneous.

Add the remaining sifted flour and baking powder. Mix well. Pour into a 22–23 cm mold. Place in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 50 minutes. Check the pie's readiness with a bamboo stick.

5
Take the ready pie, poke it all over with a bamboo skewer while warm, and soak it with cherry syrup.

3 tablespoons are enough. Let the pie cool in the mold and absorb the aroma of the syrup.
