Honey bagels are a delicate and aromatic treat of Russian cuisine, enveloped in the sweetness of honey and butter. Their soft dough, made with sour cream and milk, provides a pleasant lightness, while the poppy seed topping adds a textural contrast. The history of bagels is rooted in Russian baking traditions, where they were considered symbols of prosperity and family comfort. Their taste is a harmony of the light sweetness of honey and the richness of butter, creating a warm feeling of homey indulgence. Bagels are perfect with tea or coffee, becoming a soulful part of breakfast or an afternoon snack. They can be served as a standalone treat or used to create dessert compositions with jam or condensed milk.
