Oatmeal Slices

Oat slices are a crispy and light treat from American cuisine. Their simplicity and minimalism make them an ideal choice for a healthy snack. The thin rolling of the dough gives the slices an airy texture, while the combination of oats and flour provides a delicate, slightly nutty flavor. When baked, they become crispy on the outside but remain soft on the inside, making them a perfect addition to breakfast or a healthy snack for every day. They can be eaten as a standalone dish or paired with jam, honey, or even cheese. These slices are an excellent alternative to traditional bread, especially for those who watch their diet and prefer natural products. They are easy to prepare but incredibly tasty and nutritious.

1
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
2
Grind the oats in a blender until almost flour-like. In a large bowl, combine and mix with flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center, pour in the oil and boiling water. Start mixing with a spoon, then knead with your hands. Divide into several parts. Roll out fairly thin (3-4 mm), cut into diamonds, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 5-10 minutes. The bottom slices cook faster, while the top remains quite pale. Important - do not overbake.
