Meringue with vanilla is a classic French dessert, embodying airy lightness and sweet elegance. Its history dates back to the 17th century when pastry chefs began experimenting with whipped egg whites and sugar. Meringue captivates with its fragile yet melt-in-your-mouth texture perfection. Vanilla powder adds a subtle, delicate aroma that makes each crumb special. These light clouds of sweetness pair wonderfully with coffee, fruits, or creams, turning a simple tea time into exquisite enjoyment. Meringue is not just a treat but a symbol of sophistication and culinary mastery that can adorn any festive table.

1
Whip the egg whites to a strong foam. Gradually add sugar to the egg whites in a thin stream. Whip for about two minutes. Then add vanilla powder (I use the powder from 'Magic Tree' brand).
- Egg white: 3 pieces
- Sugar: 150 g
- Powdered sugar with vanilla: 1 teaspoon
2
Preheat the oven to 120 degrees. Place parchment paper on the baking tray. You can scoop the meringue with a spoon or use a piping bag with a star tip.
3
Bake the meringue for 1.5–2 hours depending on the size. One hour was enough for me.
