Fish pie with salmon is a fragrant and hearty dish rooted in Russian culinary traditions. Its base is a tender yeast dough that becomes airy and golden after baking. Inside lies a rich filling: juicy salmon fillet, sautéed onions, boiled rice, and pieces of boiled egg creating a wonderful harmony of flavors. Salmon gives the pie a rich, slightly creamy note while spices enhance its sophistication. This pie can be served at family dinners or festive gatherings. It pairs well with greens, sour cream sauce, or a light vegetable salad. In ancient times, such pies were symbols of hospitality and festive traditions and remain a favorite dish for many gourmets today.
