Gingerbread cookies, known for their rich spice aroma, are a cozy treat that can create an atmosphere of celebration and warmth. This recipe is inspired by traditional European baking and resembles the famous IKEA cookies that have become a symbol of Scandinavian coziness. The taste is crispy, slightly spicy, with bright notes of cinnamon, ginger, and clove enriched with honey sweetness. Such cookies are perfect for winter evenings with a cup of hot tea or coffee. They can be used as a treat, decoration for the festive table, or even as a small gift for friends and loved ones. The ease of preparation and rich flavor make them a favorite among connoisseurs of aromatic homemade pastries.

1
First, you need to grind the spices into powder! Of course, you can also take ready-made ground ones.
- Carnation: 5 piece
- Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Ground cardamom: 1 teaspoon

2
Next, add ground ginger to the resulting powder.
- Grated ginger: 2.5 teaspoons

3
Then add the flour mixed with baking powder.
- Wheat flour: 200 g
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon

4
In a separate bowl, mix softened butter and sugar with a mixer.
- Butter: 100 g
- Sugar: 1 glass

5
Then add eggs and slightly warmed honey to it.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Honey: 3 teaspoons

6
Now add the flour to the egg-butter mixture and mix well. The dough turns a deep brown color right before your eyes.
- Wheat flour: 200 g

7
Knead the dough well by hand and send it to the refrigerator for 1.5–2 hours. At first, the dough will be slightly soft, but after cooling, it can be easily rolled out!

8
Then roll out the dough quite thin and cut out shapes with molds.

9
Grease the baking tray with vegetable oil and place the cookies on it. Send to the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes. It bakes very quickly! The main thing is not to get distracted, or it will burn instantly! Remove the cookies as soon as the top starts to brown!
