Apple meringue pie is an exquisite dessert combining airy meringue, crispy crust, and tender apple filling. This recipe traces back to European culinary traditions where fruits and meringue create a perfect balance of flavor and texture. Apples add a light tartness that harmonizes with the sweetness of the sugar glaze, while the crumbly crust adds cozy warmth. This treat is ideal for home tea gatherings and celebrations, providing a sense of comfort and festive spirit. The pie is good both hot and chilled, with a thin layer of meringue adding aesthetic appeal, making it a worthy centerpiece for any table.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. To prepare the dough, mix 3 egg yolks, margarine, 0.5 cup of sugar, salt to taste, baking soda, and 3 tablespoons of water, then add flour and mix again. Place the resulting dough in a form that doesn't need greasing, as there is enough fat in the dough. To spread the dough in the form and prevent it from sticking to your hand, you can wet your hand with water. Bake until almost done, that is, until a confident brown color, for about 25 minutes.
- Chicken egg: 3 pieces
- Butter: 150 g
- Sugar: 2 glasss
- Salt: to taste
- Slaked soda: 1 teaspoon
