Chocolate chip cookies are an iconic treat of American cuisine that originated in the 1930s. It was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield, owner of the Toll House restaurant, who accidentally added chocolate pieces to the dough instead of melted chocolate. These cookies conquered the world with their crispy yet soft dough, rich buttery aroma, and sweet chocolate chunks melting with every bite. They pair perfectly with milk, coffee, or hot chocolate, creating a cozy home atmosphere. The simplicity of preparation and availability of ingredients made them a favorite dessert for family evenings and friendly gatherings.
