Layered chocolate boxes are a delicate and airy treat from Russian cuisine. Their name promises a sweet surprise inside the crispy dough. Made from puff yeast dough, they hide pieces of aromatic chocolate in their layers that melt during baking, creating a gooey and rich filling. These mini rolls have a crispy crust and a soft, sweet heart, perfect for cozy evenings and tea parties. They are easy to make and suitable for both festive tables and spontaneous treats. The flavor harmony of chocolate and airy dough makes them especially beloved among sweet pastry enthusiasts.
