Apple pie with phyllo dough and nuts

100 minutes
Apple pie made from phyllo dough with nuts is an elegant combination of crispy layers of the thinnest dough with a juicy apple filling infused with the aromas of cinnamon and honey. This dessert carries the warmth of home comfort and reminds one of traditional layered pastries known in various corners of the world. While phyllo dough is associated with Eastern sweets, its use in Mexican cuisine gives the pie a unique character. Nuts add texture and richness to the flavor, while caramelized apples provide natural sweetness. Thanks to the thin layers of phyllo dough, the pie turns out surprisingly airy yet crispy. It pairs wonderfully with a cup of strong coffee or fragrant tea and can also be an exquisite ending to a festive dinner.
