Rinse the rice under running water until the water is completely clear.

Add milk and cook, stirring, until the amount of milk reduces by half and the rice becomes soft, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Add sugar, crushed almonds, and half of the crushed pistachios. Cook until the sugar dissolves.
