Semolina cake with cottage cheese is a delicate and airy treat from Russian cuisine, combining the softness of semolina and the creamy taste of cottage cheese. This recipe originates from traditional village families where accessible and nutritious ingredients were transformed into hearty dishes. The cake acquires a golden crust when fried, while the filling with cottage cheese and raisins adds sweet and sour notes. It can be served both for breakfast and as a dessert, especially accompanied by sour cream or jam. Its ease of preparation and rich flavor make it a popular choice for cozy home evenings.
