Cheese flatbread is a simple yet incredibly aromatic and hearty pie that originated from Russian cuisine and has won the hearts of cheese dish lovers. Its base is a tender dough that becomes pliable and airy after cooling. The filling of cheese, garlic, and eggs gives the flatbread a rich flavor with spicy notes. When baked, the cheese melts, forming an appetizing golden crust. This flatbread pairs excellently with hot tea or soup and can be served as a standalone dish or as an appetizer to main courses. The simplicity of preparation makes this recipe accessible even to beginners, while its rich taste and aroma make it a favorite in many families.
