Semolina cake with kefir and margarine is a tender, airy pie with a rich creamy flavor. In Russian cuisine, semolina cake holds a special place as it is made without yeast but remains fluffy due to semolina and baking soda. Historically, this dessert was popular in Soviet times when simple and affordable ingredients created amazing homemade treats. Margarine gives the dough softness while kefir adds a slight tanginess balancing the sweetness of sugar. This pie is versatile: it can be served with tea or as breakfast. Easy to make, it delights with its aroma and texture, while the golden crust makes it especially appetizing.
