Wash and dry fresh figs, remove the 'stems' and cut into 4 pieces. If using frozen fruits, thaw them in the refrigerator and then place on a napkin to dry. Canned whole figs can also be used, which should be dried and then cut.

Melt the butter in a pan, add 1 packet of vanilla sugar. When the mixture is well heated, add quartered figs to the pan and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until they soften to a puree-like consistency.

Put mascarpone in a bowl and mix it with cottage cheese (the cottage cheese should be of a paste-like consistency) and brown sugar.
