Ladenia is a traditional Greek pie that traces back to the deep rural cuisine of the Mediterranean. This dish embodies the simplicity and flavor of sunny Greece: airy dough infused with olive oil aroma, sweet tomatoes, and tender caramelized onions create a harmony of tastes. Capers add a tangy note, giving the pie a slight acidity. Ladenia is perfect as an appetizer, a standalone dish, or an accompaniment to traditional Greek treats. It can be served warm or cold, enjoying the richness of textures and the intense Mediterranean aroma. This pie evokes warm Greek evenings, homely comfort, and leisurely meals by the Aegean Sea.
