Pink Biscotti

Pink biscotti is a refined Italian dessert inspired by Tuscan culinary traditions. Its main secret is the addition of red dry wine, which gives the cookie a subtle fruity-wine aroma and a delicate pink hue. Biscotti is characterized by its crunchy texture as the dough slices undergo double baking, first as a whole log and then sliced for extra dryness. Light notes of vanillin and creamy sour cream make its taste soft and harmonious. These biscotti are perfect with a cup of coffee or dessert wine, turning an ordinary tea time into an exquisite ritual. Such cookies are often associated with festive moments and cozy gatherings, and their elegant flavor leaves a pleasant aftertaste and a desire for another piece.

1
Cut the hot log into slices with a very sharp knife. Dry the slices in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
2
Mix the wine with sour cream, sugar, and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the butter. Sifted flour is mixed with baking powder and vanillin, and then gradually added to the prepared mixture.
