Spicy honey pie is a fragrant treat of Russian cuisine, rooted in the traditions of home baking. Sun-warmed honey gives the pie a soft sweetness, while spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cloves fill it with deep and warming notes. Lemon and orange zest add a subtle citrus freshness that harmonizes with the rich flavor of butter. A glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice gives the pie's surface a delicate shine, while candied ginger adds a spicy finish. This pie is perfect for cozy evenings with hot tea, creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. It can be served as a standalone treat or accompanied by creams and fruits to highlight its rich flavor.
