Quick roll is a simple yet elegant dessert of European cuisine that can be prepared in just a few minutes. Its tender base, resembling a light sponge cake, is made from eggs, sugar, and flour. Baked in the oven, it becomes soft and elastic, perfect for rolling. The filling can be anything: fragrant jam, fruit preserves, or even cream. Rolled up and slightly soaked, it gains delightful juiciness while powdered sugar adds a light sweet note. This dessert is ideal for cozy family tea times or unexpected guests when you need to quickly prepare something tasty and impressive.
