Cheese and ham pancakes are a hearty and aromatic dish of Russian cuisine, combining the tenderness of thin dough with a delicious filling. The origins of this recipe date back centuries when pancakes were a symbol of the sun and prepared during Maslenitsa. The combination of ham and cheese adds a rich flavor to the dish: the softness of melted cheese harmonizes with the salty notes of ham. These pancakes are perfect as a hearty breakfast or snack, especially when paired with sour cream, which adds extra tenderness. The golden crust from butter makes them particularly appealing. They cook quickly and are suitable for both a cozy home lunch and a festive feast.
