Apple pie is a classic of French cuisine, embodying warmth and family comfort. Its roots go back centuries when bakers sought ways to turn simple ingredients into exquisite desserts. This delicate pie combines airy dough with tart-sweet apples, creating a harmony of flavor. Vanilla sugar adds subtle sweetness, while baking powder makes the pastry light and fluffy. Apples cooled before preparation retain their freshness and texture, creating the perfect balance of softness and slight tartness. Apple pie is served warm and can be complemented with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or light cream. It is perfect for cozy family tea times and celebrations, creating an atmosphere of joy and enjoyment.

1
Measure the required amount of all ingredients and prepare the mold by greasing its bottom with butter. For the specified amount of ingredients, a round metal mold with a diameter of 160 mm and a height of 63 mm can be used.
- Butter: 20 g

2
Before beating the eggs, cut the apples into small wedges, cubes, or slices. Place the cut apples in the refrigerator to prevent them from browning.
- Sour apples: 2 pieces

3
Beat the eggs with sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt at maximum speed for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the mixer power.
- Chicken egg (large): 3 pieces
- Sugar: 80 g
- Vanilla sugar: 10 g
- Salt: pinch

4
Gently mix the flour and baking powder with a silicone spatula. Ensure that no lumps of flour form.
- Wheat flour grade 1: 90 g
- Dr. Oetker baking powder: 10 g

5
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. While the oven is heating, add the chopped apples to the liquid batter and mix everything gently again.
- Sour apples: 2 pieces

6
Pour the prepared mixture into a mold, level it if necessary, and place it in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Check readiness with a skewer.
