Cheese khachapuri is one of the most popular dishes of Georgian cuisine, embodying its warm, cozy, and rich flavor. This aromatic cheese bread originated in ancient times and has become a symbol of hospitality over time. Outside it has a golden crispy crust; inside is a tender, stretchy cheese filling with a hint of garlic. It is made from yeast dough filled with a mixture of cheese, butter, and garlic, then rolled out and fried until golden brown. Khachapuri is perfect for breakfast, as a snack or as a main dish, especially when paired with fragrant herbs and fresh vegetables. It can be eaten hot while the cheese melts, enjoying the rich flavor that brings comfort and gastronomic pleasure.

1
Make small balls from yeast dough.
- Yeast dough: 1 kg
2
Mix grated butter, cheese, and garlic.
- Butter: 100 g
- Cheese: 350 g
- Garlic: 1 clove
3
Slightly pinch the dough balls and place the filling in the center. Seal them (like a pie, but they should be round in shape).
4
Roll out these filled balls with a rolling pin greased with vegetable oil (to make thick tortillas).
- Vegetable oil: 50 ml
5
Fry in vegetable oil. But it is necessary to avoid holes, otherwise all the cheese will leak out during frying.
- Vegetable oil: 50 ml
