Carrot and Cabbage Pies

The Preshpekt cafe is a popular tourist spot, located in Yasnaya Polyana. The pies are baked here by putting cabbage and carrots together, which makes their taste, while remaining recognizable, much brighter. For the test, pour sugar into warm water, add salt, margarine, eggs, yeast and mix well. Then gradually add flour and knead a soft homogeneous dough. Leave to rise for 30-60 minutes (depending on the quality of the yeast).
- Water: 1 l
- Sugar: 150 g
- Salt: to taste
- Margarine: 150 g
- Chicken egg: 5 piece
- Dry yeast: 50 g
- Wheat flour: 1.5 kg

While the dough rises, prepare the filling. Chop the cabbage and grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Place in a pan with oil and sauté until cooked. Add salt to taste.
- White cabbage: 1.5 kg
- Carrot: 500 g
- Vegetable oil: 150 ml
- Salt: to taste

Form balls of 38 grams from the prepared dough, flatten into patties. Place 25 grams of filling on each. Shape into pies. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 25-35 minutes until done.
