Fried sweet milk is a delightful dessert from Spanish cuisine. Its history begins in ancient traditions where simple yet exquisite recipes were made from accessible ingredients. The delicate milk batter, prepared with sugar, eggs, and starch, transforms into an airy cream that is cut into squares and fried to a golden crust after cooling. Crispy on the outside and soft and melting on the inside—it resembles a combination of flan and donut, creating a rich creamy flavor with subtle caramel notes. Perfect for cozy family evenings or as an unusual treat for tea. Serving it with fruits or sweet sauce enhances its sophistication, turning it into a true gastronomic delight.
