Norman rice pudding tergoul

French rice pudding - tergoul, a dish from Upper Normandy. Requires a minimum of effort: all the ingredients are mixed in a pie pan and sent to the oven. The result is a wonderful alternative to the usual rice porridge for breakfast or even an unusual dessert. The classic recipe can be diversified with berries, candied fruits and nuts.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Place the rice in a ceramic fireproof dish with a volume of at least two liters.
- Rice: 150 g

Add salt and cinnamon.
- Salt: pinch
- Ground cinnamon: 2 teaspoons

Add sugar.
- Sugar: 180 g

Mix everything.

Distribute the contents of the form evenly.

Carefully pour in the milk so that the rice stays at the bottom.
- Milk: 1.8 l

Send to the oven preheated to 150 degrees.

After an hour, reduce the temperature to 110 degrees and leave it for another 4-5 hours. The finished pudding should have a caramel crust and thicken inside.
